Now, with emergency preparation and survival in mind, Mountain Hose has put together a 72-hour emergency food kit of 3 full meals a day for 3 days for one person…’Just In Case’. All you need to add is water, and you’re good to go. Three days’ worth of three full meals each day and only 3 pounds total. It really pays to be prepared.

MENU (for one person):

Breakfast

  • Granola with blueberries and milk
  • Scrambled eggs with bacon
  • Scrambled eggs with ham and peppers

    Vegetables

  • Garden green peas
  • Whole kernal corn
  • Cut green beans

    Lunch & Dinner Entrees

  • Beef stroganoff
  • Chicken teriyaki
  • Chili Mac with beef
  • Rice and chicken
  • Pasta primavera (vegetables)
  • Sweet and sour pork with rice

    Total dry weight is 3 pounds. Seven year shelf life.

    Mountain (Flameless) Oven

    And, if you don’t happen to have a stove (though do see our Optimus Nova multi-fuel stove in ‘Knives, Binoculars, Survival Tools'), we also offer here the Mountain Oven Flameless Heating Kit, each one is good for 5 uses (that is, each will heat 5 pouches of food):

  • Specially designed to heat the new Mountain House stand up pouch
  • Heats a Mountain House stand up pouch in 20 minutes
  • Just add ambient temperature clean (potable) water. Increases water temp about 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Remember, each oven is good for 5 uses (5 cooked meals). In each 72-hr food kit there are 11 pouches that require cooking. You may want to order more than one oven per kit.
